Delfina Soares appointed to the National Advisory Council in Public Administration

Professor Dr. Delfina Soares has been appointed as a member of the newly established Consultative Council for the Digital in Public Administration.

UNU-EGOV is proud to announce that its Director, Professor Dr. Delfina Soares, has been appointed as a member of the newly established Consultative Council for the Digital in Public Administration (CDAP) by the Portuguese Government. This nomination highlights her contributions to digital governance and the recognition of UNU-EGOV as a centre of excellence in digital governance.

The CDAP, formed under the Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 94/2024, brings together a group of five distinguished experts in administrative modernization and digital technologies. The council will provide strategic and consultative guidance to align Portugal’s digital transition goals with its public administration reform initiatives.

Dr. Soares, an expert with over two decades of experience, has been at the forefront of research and innovation in electronic governance. Her work spans national, local, and sectoral levels, focusing on administrative modernization, public sector interoperability, and digital transformation. Her leadership at UNU-EGOV has facilitated impactful collaborations with governments and international organizations worldwide.

This appointment reflects not only Dr. Soares’ individual achievements but also the growing importance of UNU-EGOV's contributions to advancing digital governance globally. As a member of CDAP, she will bring her expertise to drive forward Portugal’s ambitious agenda for public sector digitalization.
